Some reviews from happy House guests….

“If you are looking for peace and solitude-this is the place to stay!! We absolutely loved our stay here! We stayed alone in the house, but it is large enough for two couples to have plenty of room. The home has 2 lg bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. There is a tub in one and a shower in the other, but we used neither. The outdoor shower is divine! A must use while you stay. There is nothing like showering outside under the palms with a view of the ocean-still missing it! The kitchen comes equipped with everything you need. There is a good selection of pots, pans and dishes. There is a barbecue outside, off the lanai for use. We cooked some wonderful meals and very much enjoyed the view of the ocean right out the window while we were prepping. We purchased spices and oil at the local store, but did find that there was quite a selection left from previous renters. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed having access to a washer and dryer as well and did do a load or two of laundry. We had some rainy weather while we were there and the solar hot water held out well. We were never lacking for hot water. We made a lot of use of the ocean kayaks, taking a daily row out and about to check things out. The water is so clear that you can easily see the coral and fish below. We surprised a turtle once when we literally rowed over top of it and it scared us when it took off right from under us-so cool! A few different couples stayed in the cottage and except for the occasional hellos that we exchanged when we saw each other in the yard, the area is large enough and secluded enough that we didn’t feel like we were invading space. There is wi-fi available and we did use of it. It worked quite well, only having issues when it rained heavily one night and the whole island had trouble connecting. There is a TV in the one room, but we didn’t use it much. We watched whales from the lanai and enjoyed watching the changing times of day. The property is set off the road a bit. This helped it to feel more secluded as there is only one road at that end of the island and everyone travels it. If you are close to the road, you would definitely hear the traffic. I highly recommend this property. The owners were very easy to contact and deal with.”

“We cannot say enough great things about this rental house. What a piece of paradise. We will definitely go back. We had everything we needed for a relaxing, tranquil, and yet exciting stay on Molokai. We drank coffee on the lanai every morning while watching the whales breach in the ocean. What a treat! The house was well furnished, beautiful grounds and beach. Cant say enough good things about it!!”

“The home and property in Molokai were beyond our expectations. The pictures on the website did not do it full justice – tropical, peaceful, private, secluded and just lovely. The overall house amenities were superb – excellent kitchen and so well appointed for the “chef” in all of us. The island itself was fantastic and the genuine warmth from the islanders so welcoming. We would absolutely consider and are planning our next holiday to Molokai and the beachfront estate we rented – again & again. Aloha & Mahalo, Jill & Rob North Vancouver, BC. – CDA.”

“Wow! This place lived up to all our expectations. We spent 10 days at the house. The view from the back deck looks out over Maui. We watched whales, snorkeled right out in front for the place and used the sea kayaks to explore up and down the the beach. There is a protecting reef that affords a very safe swimming and snorkeling experience. The house is furnished with every need in mind. We spent a lot of time reading and enjoying the views and water. We took the mule ride down to the leper colony and highly recommend it. Do your grocery shopping at Friendly Market and plan on doing some cooking. We loved the place so much we didn’t want to make the 17 mile trip back into town to go to dinner. This place may not be for people looking for lots of activities to do or great places to eat. But if you just want to enjoy a tropical paradise with someone, it cannot be beat.”

Some Reviews from Happy Cottage Guests…...

“Paradise? Tranquility? Beauty abound? Romance? Nature? Freedom? Privacy? Gorgeous sunrises? If that’s what you are looking for in a get away then this gem is exactly what your looking for! We LOVE this place! Outdoor shower was amazing, so incredibly refreshing. Entertainment at all hours just sitting on the lanai watching the colorful geckos, simply mesmerizing! The cottage is decorated with comfort in mind and had every amenity we could have ever needed. The colors of the plants surrounding every corner of the property takes your breath away! The sunrises were glorious on our own little private beach! Spent three weeks here and enjoyed every moment!”

“Our one week stay at Hale KaiNalu, Cottage by the Sea was everything promised and more. We traveled to Molokai to celebrate my retirement and enjoyed every moment on this property and on this special, very Hawaiian island. If it’s a natural, true Hawaiian experience you’re looking for, away from the city, resorts and tourist traps, this place is for you. The property is beautiful, secluded, private, clean and comfortable. Molokai is unique: quiet, friendly, and proud of its native culture. Hale KaiNalu is a wonderful place to get away from it all and enjoy the ocean and beauty of Hawaii.”

“My husband and I spent 2 weeks on this beautiful island. We were thrilled that the property and cottage exceeded our expectations. Pictures do not do this place justice! The cottage is much more spacious than you would expect. We loved the outdoor shower, washing machine access, and most of all the privacy and ocean views! Don’t miss the snorkeling at Dixie Maru (about an hour’s drive west) and the little store/lunch spot about 2 miles from the property. We also really enjoyed the weekly farmer’s markets in town and the entertainment at the local hotel….we were lucky enough to hear and meet Lono!!! We loved this place and will be back soon!”
